Our Story
Began in the 1920s, when grandfather Luigi, supported by the Maisto family, decided to found a small artisan factory in Naples.
Grandfather Luigi’s ingenious intuition was to use excess materials from post-World War II military warehouses for the production of perfect and ad hoc shoes with the historical-economic scenario of the time. The idea was to use canvas from military backpacks for the uppers of the shoes and vehicle tires for the soles. The market appreciated the invention and from then on, the ELLEFFE shoe factory grew to become an important footwear manufacturer in the Neapolitan area. The evolution and transition from a small artisan company to an important industrial manufacturer occurred in the sixties, thanks to the “second generation” of the Maisto family.

Today, it is the “third generation” of Maisto who continue the activity started by their grandfather to achieve a perfect mix between modern production techniques and artisanal work. It is the third generation to create and launch the experience of the new LETIZIA FERRARI brand, for which important investments are planned. LETIZIA FERRARI women’s footwear stands out for the union of tradition and modernity, creativity and functionality, present in every phase of production.
LETIZIA FERRARI ® shoes are fashionable, in leather, hand-stitched, with rubber or leather sole. The items are designed by important Neapolitan stylists and designed for dynamic, elegant and original women. “Our history has always been our greatest heritage” states the administrator of the ELLEFFE shoe factory.
